Finnish Minerals Group is actively seeking ways to promote sustainability
Finnish Minerals Group wants to promote sustainability in the mining industry and do its part to curb climate change.
In early 2019, the company prepared a sustainability policy, in which three key themes were established for the company’s sustainability work: social impact, developing a sustainable value chain for the mining sector, and responsibility for the environment and climate. The next step is to obtain more information on stakeholders’ expectations related to sustainability, as well as to define the development goals and performance indicators for the company’s sustainability work.
M.Sc. (Social Sciences) Katri Kauppila has started work as a project manager for sustainability and communications. Katri has extensive work experience in industry, including the mining sector where she previously worked as Chief Communications Officer at Terrafame Ltd.
