The state-of-the-art plant will produce precursor cathode active material (pCAM) with a remarkably low carbon footprint. pCAM is a precursor of the cathode active material that is needed to manufacture lithium-ion batteries.

The plant project is being implemented by CNGR Finland Oy, which was established in 2022 by Finnish Minerals Group and CNGR Advanced Materials Oy (a technology company listed on the Shenzen Stock Exchange). Finnish Minerals Group has a 40 per cent holding in the company.
